Pindaya, situated at the foot of Menetaung Range, about 45 KM north-west of
Kalaw, is famous for its caves in which thousands of centuries old Buddha Images of various sizes can be seen. Some deposited in niches in the walls said that they total 8049 in numbers. The hill tribes from the nearby villages can be seen in their colourful costume at the market and also at their farm.
